 | | Nine physicians from Addis Ababa visited APF |
| Nine physicians from different sub cities of Addis Ababa who are working in private clinics, governmental health centers and hospitals were sponsored to visit the factory in Adigrat. Marketing department of APF arranged the visit by considering the role of physicians in the health care and their professional involvement in building our company image. The visit was held from March 17-2010 to march 21-2010.During the visit, physicians were able to get information about individual activities of each departments in the company, manufacturing technology, production process of dosage forms and quality control activities. Numbers of constrictive ideas were shared between physicians and APF’s top management. One from the physicians said that he found the company beyond his expectation and appreciated the technology involved and the interpersonal relation ship among company staffs. Similar visit was held before for prescribers from Bahir Dar and we will invite health professionals from different regions of the country in the near future. |

| Kaizen is a system for continuous improvement in quality, technology, processes, company culture, productivity, safety and leadership. APF, a committed company for continuous improvement, is implementing kaizen. A complete kaizen manual has been developed for implementing the 5 Ss of kaizen. Individuals who perform similar tasks are grouped under one quality circle. There are about 32 quality circles where a number of constructive ideas generate and small problems get solved. So far, our productivity has been increased more than ever, and we are able to develop company wide quality culture. APF being the only pharmaceutical manufacturing company to implement kaizen, other companies under the corporate EFFORT are also implementing this system for continuous improvement. Kaizen is taking APF steps forward.

| APF has gone through the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standards certification process and has done lots of activity to improve processes and to maximize quality and efficiency. We received certificate of registration to ISO 9001-2008 QMS issued by DQS GmbH (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifierung Von Managmentsystemen) accredited certification body after a successful audit against all the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008.The certification helps to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met and creates an opportunity to expand our market to neighboring countries. |

| APF celebrated customers' day on 26 Jun 2010. the occasion was held in Global hotel from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. during this time, general manager of APF, MR.shimelis mamuye well explained the general technical and commercial progress of APF. after detail explanation of the GM, the floor was open for discussion and most customers appreciete the progress APF has made and congratulate managment staff of APF. customers also recommended on holding this type of occasion quarterly. during the occasion certificate was awarded for all customers and special gifts were provided for top five customers. this program was also accompanied by dinner in the same hotel. |
